Methods
1)
Pick, wash and soak dal for at least
15 minutes.
2)
Using sufficient water,
heeng,turmeric and salt boil dal, till soft and tender, mash dal completely.
3)
Lightly roast cumin and crush along
with black pepper powder, garlic flakes.
4)
Blend the above mixture in dal, along
with tamarind pulp.
5)
Heat oil in kadhai add a pinch of
heeng, curry leaves and whole red chilies.
6)
Adjust seasoning, serve hot garnished
with chopped coriander.
