Sindhi Bhee Palak

Sindhi Bhee Palak


sno                   Ingredients                 Quantity

1                       lotus stems                 250 gms

2                       Spinach                      500 gms

3                       Onions                        100 gms

4                        Tomatoes                   150 gms

5                        Ginger Garlic paste    2 tsp

6                        Green chilies              4 nos

7                        Cumin seeds              1 tsp

8                        turmeric pwd              1/3 tsp

9                        red chili powder         1/2 tsp

10                      Coriander powder       1 1/2 tsp

11                       oil                             60 ml

12                      salt to taste


Methods

1)  peel, wash and cut lotus stems in small pieces ( 1 inch long) and boil in cooker with small amount of salt till tender ( 4 whistles)

2) wash spinach and roughly chop them.

3) finely chop onions, chop tomatoes, finely chop green chilies.

4) In a pot or cooker heat oil, add cumin seeds and let it crackle, Add ginger garlic paste and chopped green chilies, cook for 3-4 minutes on a moderate flame. Add chopped onions and tomatoes fry till the oil leaves the masala.

5) Add chopped spinach cook for about 5 minutes.

6) Add the powdered masalas.

7) Add boiled lotus stem, add a small amount of water, salt and cook for another 15 minutes.

8) serve hot
